Why should you be interested in Project Lead The Way? Because we have developed a hands-on, project based approach to learning that better prepares students for the rigors of college. Our program incorporates math, science, English, and technology skills needed for success.

Our professional development program will also help to improve your skills as a teacher and provide you with a class that students come to early, leave late and truly enjoy.

Graduate Credit For Teachers During Summer Training: Teachers enrolled in Project Lead The Way courses during the Summer Training Institutes at Rochester Institute of Technology and National Affiliate Training Centers may earn graduate credit for these courses.

Because the PLTW courses parallel existing National Affiliate courses, teachers are required to demonstrate they have met the standards of the college course through the completion of a portfolio, a written examination, and/or a paper, depending on the specific requirements for each graduate college course.

Teachers interested in college credit will have the program requirements explained at the beginning of the Summer Training Institute. At that time, teachers will complete an application, complete the additional requirements for receiving credit, and will pay tuition, which may vary depending on the training institute.

For more information, check out the National PLTW site for the 2004 summer details.
